Hi there,

You might check with an organization called "Love INC.".  There is one located in Charlotte, Virginia I noticed. Perhaps that is near you? Here is a link to your local organizations website.

http://www.avenue.org/loveinc/

There is a list of churches there that might be able to help in some way, wether it is food pantry or something else.

They will pray for you if nothing else, but they often have a list of resources that might be of use to you. Also call your local branch of the Salvation Army and the United Way. Explain your situation, and perhaps look for a lawyer that will work on contingincy for your disabilty (that means they get like 25% (up to) it varies by state...but that way you don't incur legal fees unless you win.

Check to see if you are eligible for a second Energy Assistance Grant through the government.  We were and it saved our butts!  Call the office that deals with that in your state and find out if there is more of a grant there. If you have't received your entire grant (sometimes you don't need it then) you might get some money out of it! Good Luck!

Looking at a gas shut off notice. Our son is 8 and diabetic. Without gas we cannot cook..he doesn't get to eat right if we cannot cook.  We need about $200 to catch this up and then summer is here and gas is not so high because we are not using heat as much.  My husband is a disabled Vet and he is doing everything he can to get even part-time work. I do daycare in my home but right now I am on hiatus due to the fact that the parents of the kid I watch is out of town for a couple of weeks. That would have helped but I don't get paid when there are no kids in daycare.

We just need to get this done and then we can keep up. They've been ruthless and we've had to fight to keep it on all winter. But now with Winter ending some how they think we don't have a diabetic son anymore.  (And we do..so we need that gas especially..we also have a 5 yr old daughter who gets ill prettily easily if her routine is messed up especially with diet.).

We have to use food shelves to keep enough food for our family. Please if you are willing to help contact as soon as possible. I will check my email plenty. Please no spam, quick earn cash offers or job offers unless in the Anchorage area and do not require funds to do the job. Willing to even do dog walking at this point really.  Thanks for reading. Hope to hear from someone on this
